Primal ( re-imagined )
I loved the animated show Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal when it came out and always wanted to make something out of it. This story came naturally to me, and my main goal was to make it as bad-ass as possible. I have always wanted to work on a show like Primal since it ticked all the boxes of my taste and interest, and since I didn't get that opportunity, why not make it of your own? I had a great time working on it, and since I'm the one who made all the creative decisions here, my plan was clear from the beginning to create this whole story action-packed. I didn't have any script while doing this, so whatever wild ideas came into my head, I put them in my storyboard and tried everything. Undoubtedly, it is one of my favorite personal projects I've ever worked on.
Usually, when I work on something like this, I try to handle everything by myself, but this time, I had to involve other people, especially in the sound department, cause I intended to make the whole work very professional. I wanted to make this piece as close as the original show, so I prioritized giving the exact sound treatment. My friend Dipam made my life so much easier in that case, and we worked together to design the background score and all the foley sounds. We sat mainly on the weekends for hour-long sessions to create the sound. I also had to record some voiceovers for that Neanderthal character( Spear ), and my friend Daniel helped me with that. Also, thanks to my brother Devansh for coming up with an introductory text.
This is my version of Primal. I hope I did justice to it by keeping the original flavor. Hope you guys like it too.

Khagam - The Curse
In my free time, I made this storyboard piece based on a well-known short story, "KHAGAM" by Maestro Satyajit Ray. I still remember it giving me goosebumps when I first read it, and since then, I have always wanted to make something out of it. Then, a month back, I was listening to its audio format from Mirchi Bangla Sunday Suspense while working, which gave me an immense urge to do something about it. There were a lot of thoughts and plans that went into this project for 1. this is written by Ray, which I did not want to screw up, and 2. to concise the whole story within a couple of minutes and make it look crisp and engaging as much as possible without hampering any essence of the story. I subtly changed some aspects from the main story to make it look visually attractive. Being a horror nerd, this is anybody's dream project, and I had a great time designing everything from storytelling to sound. Developing a soundscape for this piece took me a lot of time. All the sounds I've used here are royalty-free, which I got from the internet. The goal was to design a sound which will reflect an eeriness through-out the time.
Here's a teaser or trailer or whatever you call it of the story Khagam. I hope you guys like it. Cheers.

They come at night
I was away from my personal work for quite some time due to a busy schedule with my full-time studio job, but I have been cooking this story on my own for the last couple of months. I thought of making an animatic based on the seed of a concept I had in my head for a long time. I have been a fan of the content of ALTER for a long time, and their short horror stories are brilliant and inspired me. Those who know me can attest that my go-to genre is Horror, and it gives me great joy working on something on that theme or adult/mature content in general. I planned to make something short but effective, and after making numerous thumbnails, doing loads of re-takes, and scraping many shots, I finally storyboarded this piece. It was more of a prelude to a story I'd never thought of, but it might kickstart to a horror-themed animated film/series ( who knows! ) Anyywaaays, here's the piece I worked on called "They Come at Night" and hope you guys enjoy. Cheers!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Opening sequence reimagined)
So I had this seed idea of a teaser trailer or an opening sequence of the classic horror The Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is been titillating my brain for awhile. Being an ardent horror fan I just wanted to make something very short, preferably under a minute. Did this board in between my office work which took roughly 2-3 weeks from the planning till end. Just my homage to the classic horror franchise. Hope you dig it.

Underwater Exploration
This is technically not a personal project but done this short storyboard sequence for an animated underwater exploration video for the client who runs a famous You tube channel called "What If.." Unfortunately, they never used this sequence. They didn't provide me any audio sounds for dialogues so I had to show it in subtitle format. It's a fun script to work on. Hope you will enjoy.

Music Video
This is the oldest personal project on this list so I put this in the very bottom. I made this clip in 2016, but sadly, it remains unfinished. I was planning to make something for my storyboard portfolio, thinking not to make anything more than a minute. Then, I bumped into this beautiful track of the artist named Stateless called "Bloodstream", and this whole story, which one of my writer friends penned down long back, kinda fits into that perfectly—a huge shout-out to her for conceptualizing the entire thing. I may finish it; who knows? Anyway, I hope you guys will like it.
